The 'Back in Time' Project - 2020
The articles listed below are a record of the forty ‘Back in Time’ series of daily e-mails I sent to the members of the Ellesmere Park Residents’ Association at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. The aim of the articles was to help residents overcome the tedium of isolation through being required to stay at home. Many residents in Ellesmere Park are in the vulnerable category and needed to self-isolate. This series of daily articles gave those members a fascinating look back in time at Ellesmere Park and proved to be very popular.
Initially I intended to send three or four "Back in Time" emails to the residents, but the more photographs I uncovered and the positive response I received, I ended up sending forty. I tried to send them at 10am every morning so residents knew when to expect to receive their glimpse into the past. The order of the files below was the order the daily emails were distributed back in March 2020.
